AI Assistants Can Now Read and Recommend Your Store

More and more people are shopping through AI now. They ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity what to buy and where to get it, and those assistants go read your website to answer. Your store just got a set of tools that let them read it correctly and recommend you, instead of guessing at your delivery area and making things up.

Four things are now published automatically on every store:

• An llms.txt, a plain-text guide that tells AI who you are, where you deliver, and your box types. It is an emerging standard we adopted early, so you are ahead of most stores.
• Your robots.txt now explicitly welcomes the major AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended) and points them at your sitemap and llms.txt.
• A delivery-coverage answer at /ai/delivery-check that says whether you deliver to a ZIP, on what day, the next order cutoff, and your minimum, as clean data an assistant can trust instead of hallucinating.
• Rich structured data (Schema.org) on every page: your business identity and delivery area, products with price, availability and dietary info, category breadcrumbs, and your FAQs, all the stuff search engines and AI read directly.

You can see and test every one of these in one place. Go to Settings → Business Info → AI Business Info, and look for the new AI Surfaces & Tools panel. Open any surface, or hit Test to see exactly what an AI sees. The delivery checker even fills in real in-area and out-of-area ZIPs from your own coverage so you can try it without looking codes up.

The one thing worth doing today: the better your business description on that same page, the better AI describes you to a shopper. If it is thin or blank, fill it in, or hit Auto Create and let it write the first draft from your site.
