Email Sending Requirements from gmail & yahoo updates

Hey Folks,

No action is required from you, this is just an info post.

Google and Yahoo announced new Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) requirements for anyone who sends emails. You can read Google's and Yahoo's announcements for the full details.

While Google will require anyone who sends to more than 5,000 Gmail email addresses in a day to set up DMARC and DKIM, our email transport service is requiring us to have both set up for each of our senders.

For each of Kiva's customers, we have:

  • updated/added DKIM DNS settings
  • updated/added DMARC DNS settings
  • updated/added postmaster DMARC failed settings

I have completed the steps required for each Kiva Logic customer as of this morning.

Have a great day!
